• Contribute to a world without poverty through education

We stay at home but we are still connected with Education

At the beginning of June, we enthusiastically announced the restart of our operations in the Cajamarca, Cusco and La Libertad regions, in coordination with the district municipalities of Baños del Inca, Andahuaylillas and San Pedro de Lloc, which allowed us to continue the literacy work with our FOCUS application.

For us, the most important thing is to ensure the safety and well-being of our collaborators and participants. In this sense, we comply with all the measures dictated by our health authorities, implementing a rigorous security protocol to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Our office in Sweden works hand in hand with the team in Peru, in order to ensure that we have all the essential tools to continue the important work that our collaborators have been doing.

This difficult that we have been experiencing worldwide, has shown us that education is more important than ever.

Rewriting Stories: The Transformative Power of Youth and Adult Education

The event organized by Es Hoy, DVV International and Dispurse Foundation highlighted the joint efforts of companies, municipalities, educational institutions and civil society to close the educational gaps in youth and adults. In a context where 1 in 3 people in Peru have not completed their basic education, this event highlighted the importance of education as a tool for transformation.

On International Literacy Day, we share María's inspiring story

María Quispe Ito is a 51-year-old artisan who knits hats, gloves and booties with sheep's wool and sells them in the Plaza de Armas of her district Coata, in the Puno region. As a child she was forced to work, so she was taken away from school by her parents when she was very young.
