Our literacy program was initiated in El Agustino, Lima

We have recently started our literacy program together with El Agustinos municiplity in Lima. Most of the participants, who are senior citiziens, are from other cities in Peru and came to Lima years ago to look for job opportunities and have not had the possibility to study. Many of them only have primary education. Among the motivations to learn to read and write is the desire to become more independent.

We are excited to follow their progress.

Celebrating the first 10 graduates of our program in Bolivia

This pilot, implemented in the Periferica macro-district in La Paz, is the result of a valuable collaboration with Fundación Educación y Cooperación (Educo) and Fundación Centro de Cultura Popular (FCCP).

Rewriting Stories: The Transformative Power of Youth and Adult Education

The event organized by Es Hoy, DVV International and Dispurse Foundation highlighted the joint efforts of companies, municipalities, educational institutions and civil society to close the educational gaps in youth and adults. In a context where 1 in 3 people in Peru have not completed their basic education, this event highlighted the importance of education as a tool for transformation.
