• Contribute to a world without poverty through education

UGEL - San Marcos

Since the beginning of its operations in Peru, Dispurse, has focused on developing solutions for the education of young people and adults, in collaboration with local actors and organizations.

The solutions that have mainly been implemented in the Cajamarca and Cusco regions have been designed with the aim of increasing access to high-quality education through our focus on giving young people and adults who have not previously had the opportunity to go to school the opportunity to study.

Against this background, in May 2021, in coordination with the Peruvian Ministry of Education and the Cajamarca Regional Education Authority (UGEL), we launched a project involving local actors, the state and civil society, with the aim of investigating whether our literacy program can correspond to one or two years of basic adult education in Peru. The goal is that this project will lead to us being recognized as a full-fledged alternative to basic adult education and thus that our participants, who so wish, can be certified against the formal education.

Our proposal will be implemented within the local education authorities of the provinces of San Marcos, San Ignacio and Jaén. In addition, local authorities, educational institutes and alternative basic educational organizations will participate in the process in each area.
